We’ve got exciting news from Supercollider, the mysterious bar that has been slowly inching its way toward an opening at 609 4th Avenue. It looks like the old Alto’s space is going to be slinging more than just beers.
There’s an odd creature landing in the South Slope. It’s called Supercollider. Existing Supercolliders try to solve fundamental questions of science such as the structure of space and time and the laws governing interaction and forces among the elementary objects. Yet the South Slope Supercollider will attempt to answer even more profound questions such as what does the perfect cappuccino or imperial stout taste like?
That’s right, South Slope, we’re looking at a combination coffee shop and bar less than one block away from the Prospect Avenue R station.
Free coffee will be given out all day on April 26.
As the day winds down, Supercollider will go from barista to bartender, and feature “American craft beer and imports on 18 tap beer lines.” Toss in a “30 foot silvered oak bar, and an elevated patio out back,” and it definitely sounds like this place has some potential.
The bar will have its grand opening on May 4, at 7pm.
Be sure to let us know what you think of the new addition!
